Follow up on the circle of conversation :)

WOW! i am not going to lie i was pretty darn nervous to actually speak out my ideas in class. But anyways after i got that out of my chest...Today we had got in a circle today and discussed about the Brave New World book. We came to a subject where some one said they are like machines. I am really not sure who said it but i know i think it was Jeff that was still talking about it(sorry i rudely interrupted you today). How they are like machines. And Ashley was making a good point but to me her point still couldnt so call make close to what we were saying yes we are told to do stuff by our parents but i wouldnt so much call us machines. As for these people in the book i would so call them machines just because they have feelings doesnt mean they are not. They were to be formed to love what they do in their jobs. They dont live a normal life as we do. For us we have desicions on how we want our life to turn out later in our life. But for these people they dont. They are dictated to do what they are to do in life. They dont have it as easy as we do. They are not even limited. Yes this society could be good but these people arent letting them be their own people. They have to be what they think they should be. Enough said i lost my train of thought so adios amigos. :)

These myths are CRAZY!

Myths and narratives are two things that we use in our world with or with out knowing it. When i think of myth i think of something that i or no one can explain and has to i guess you can say a wild guess how it came to be. And for the narrative part it has things to back its information up to lead on to the big picture sort of like a story. Every culture has a myth. Such as the mayas made us think since they ended the calender on 2012 that in that same year the world would come to an end. To be honest we don't know if that is true. Maybe they just ran out of ides or maybe they just ran out of what to think because they didn't think they would last that long and didn't think we would have a world like we do now. Yet we are not the ones to say if that is true till we wwait and see. (i truely and hope this doesn't happen because i do want to get married some day lol)
Or lets say in our world poeple say many myths on how Mexicans believe in all this nonsense with the ghost of their so long family members that are not here today. As the myth goes on on November 1st it is to be said that you should leave a candle lit and never answer your door in the middle of the night. And if you do well the a ghost or skeleton would give you a candle shaped as a bone means that it would be your turn to give up your life. All though some people do believe in that but that is just a myth. It really doesnt happened. Just an old story that people like to scare their kids and it goes on to their kids and so forth. Many cultures have many myths that can just scare or maybe even predict the future with an unknowing reason. pretty cray if you think about it.

Brave New World

Yadda Yadda Yadda everyone has their opinions on this book, but who is too judge its THEIR world....THEIR generation. They are the ones to say what is to be done and how they want it to be done. (IT being their world) They made this world to be for instints as an army. Like they are based to work here there or over somewhere. For this world they formed(as what Chrissy said) them to be more ready for the world. To dictate them into being happy and enjoying their work. They are even related for peeks sakes! ALL of them! All related! They have intercourses with each other! Quite disturbing is what everyone thinks but we arent the ones that should be telling them how to live their lives because we think it isnt right. Because isnt that what the people that formed them and dictated them did to them? Thats just the support that i think it is i wouldnt say right but it IS right because its their world once again.

But I do disagree. They arent living their lives. Its like their living some robots life. A person with no feeling what so ever. I think they should have feelings and be themselves and think for themselves. I strongly disagree with how they are formed! It is not human like! its like a disgrace to the world knowing that they rather use technology than actually have a women give birth. Some women think giving birth is a beautiful thing but apparantly these robots think they rather take the painless and easy way out and be formed by technology. Also with sleeping with each other! Like ew sick nasty! These are your brothers or sisters you are having in your bed! I think you should find your true love and spend that wonder thing that you have with them. Its kinda like you picking up a stranger on the side of the street yelling out "Who wants to have sex or whatever?" like ew nasty! But this book isnt what i expected its such a disturbance that no one saw coming.

But once again who are we to judge? What if there was a world like that? Would they think the same as what we are thinking now? Kinda creepy isn't it???

Well Isn't This book a Tad Disturbing

In Brave New World by Adouls Huxley,is one disturbing book. How all of the people are born from in a laboratory not how we are born today. They are all born to do what is told. They are dictated and brain washed to do what they are to do and like when their kids just to start them early and make them look forward on what they will do later on in life.Such as in life today. In some countries they start their little kids early to fight and to work. They put them in it early so when they get older they know what do to and how to do it with out complains. Like most of us today would just complain and not want to do it, people in other coutries have it the hard way and just do what they are told. They aree like robots.Robots with no feelings what so ever.
In the book they were made in a laboratory, such as the Fertilizing Room. They all loooked and were the same type of person, they were basically all related. I think that is very disturbing because what if they want to do you know"the monkey dance" as Mrs.Belman and our gymnastics team calls it, they would be having sexual intercourses with their brothers and sisters. That is just plain gross. As i said above they seem like robots during class we had the discussion on how are they supposed to get the pleasure they want if they had no feelings? are they supposed to just lay while the other person does all the work.(wow doies this feel way uncomfortable talking about this stuff) But I mean its weird just knowing that they are all related some how and they are doing this type of "activity" and maybe enjoying it or not just gives ya the creepers. But some countries are like this or their parents chose what and who they marry. Very depressing because then how can you find your true love? In the book they might have no emotion so how are they to know what love really is or even if they are the ones?

I would so hate to live in that type of environment. Some times we have to thank our world that it isn't so much like this book because then everyone in the world would be related and not be their own selfs.

The Culture Wars' New Front: U.S. History Classes in Texas Feedback

"You are to preach this religion," said the teacher. Child replies,"Well why? I dont understand." Who can say what religion is the right one for us? Who is to say, yes, that is the one and only religion you are allowed to be preached? What if that is how our life was to be seen as some one forcing us to be in a religion that maybe we just don't want to be preaching. Or even think that because of our natures disasters and our traggic happening in wars be God's judgment is he punishing us by losing peoples lives?
In the article" The Culture Wars' New Front: U.S. History Classes in Texs," by Stephanie Simon, says in one part that David Barton and Rev. Marshall who preaches that "Watergate, the Vietnam War, and Hurricane Katrina were God's judgments on sexual immorality." How do we know what God's judgments really are? We have no proof that God caused these traggic moments in history's life happen. Yet we do have proof with out thinking it was God's judgment. We know these facts when the last man is standing tell us all or for nature disasters from scientists by their technology. So there really isn't no logical reason that all this was God's judgment. Like as in Campbell Pendleton said, "History is written by the winners.: So for, the last person standing in the battle can tell us the expierences and the dreadfulness they felt and making a mark in history's life.
Also in this article it states that, "the curriculum should clearly present Christianity as an overall force of good." So is it to say that we should just not care and leave the other religions alone? Who is to say that we have to preach just one like everyone else? That is what makes people so unique that they are not like everyone else they chose other things than others. Isn't it why people came to America is for freedom of religion? That is what it says in the 1st Amendment "Freedom of speech, RELIGION, and press." We should focus on more than just one religion. How can this article make a statement about how Christianity is an overall force of good and make it seem like the other religion are just nothing like their bad or something. Yes the majority of religions are Christianity but why do we have to preach just one, doesn't make logical sense when we are all learning about one God but in different terms. People are to preach whatever religion they wish to preach maybe on eperson doesn't see the lesson taht was taught in school the right way it should be seen. Such as maybe the parents are teaching their kids something that is similar to what its taught in school in a different point of view. Then the child will be confused on who and what they should really believe in.
Overall this Christianity topic to be taught in class and how they think what God's judgments are its just obserd overall. Logically we we have the freedom of which realigion we want to preach because the 1st Amendment gave us that choice and we know how these traggic moments happened in the past because of our history books.
